The concept is simple: the version of masculinity offered by the world puts a man at the very center of everything in his world, versus what the Church offers – a Christ-centered version of masculinity where the man focuses outward. One offers false-fulfillment, empty promises, and fleeting victories, while the other one offers complete fulfillment, promises kept, and eternal victory.

There is something better for you!!! Thank you for sharing this line. I keep reminding myself of this. God always have something better for us.
Matthew Kelly’s book “The Dream Manager” is a fictionalized account of a real business and the people in it who went from a self centered style to a service style of business with amazing results. He didn’t mention God once in the story but to me the business became Christ centered, maybe without knowing it.
It is real easy to get caught up in life without realizing we are straying from God in the little things, which can then become big things.
A Real Man!—speaking in common language for the common Catholic Man–Great Recommendations for us to work on -Well Done, and God Bless you Dave
Great way to challenge men on how to find Christ in all aspects of their lives.
Dave, thank you so much for this challenging talk for gentlemen! It is so difficult to live counter-culturally in our society – but so necessary and so fulfilling. Always need this challenge and reminder to step-up and be Christ-centred – both at work and at home!
We all struggle but with Christ’s help we will overcome.
