SmartCatholics Speaker Agreement


Thank you for your willingness to present at a SmartCatholic conference! We cannot serve attendees and members without your expert knowledge, experience, and contributions. That’s why we focus on the tech, and you bring the talent.

Please take a moment to read through this brief speaker manual and agreement. All the information here has been created just for you—to help you get the most out of your experience and deliver an exceptional presentation.

1. Dates & Deadlines

All speakers must adhere to the dates and deadlines. Set calendar reminders to help yourself remember when specific items are due. Our team will also send reminders to:

  • Accept the terms of this speaker agreement by filling out the event form.
  • Send in your video
  • Follow the content and promo prompts.

2. Start engaging on social media and email

Tell your friends and fans you are presenting! Follow us on social media  for conference-related posts, including announcements, deadlines, event information, and other news leading up to the event.

Post a few times per week. Always respond to comments online.

Note: We will send you promotional materials and scripts to use.

3. Review

To help us better serve members with every event, we ask all conference attendees to share their experience as a public review, and highlight their favorite speaker.

4. Copyright & Agreement

You, the speaker, agree that you hold all necessary copyrights to the content you provide SmartCatholics. You grant SmartCatholics a non-revocable, royalty-free license to use, edit, and distribute your submission as part of SmartCatholics playback and archived event offerings, with appropriate attribution to you.

The grant of this license does not prohibit you from using your presentation in any way or from allowing others to use it.

I represent and warrant that my presentations do not violate any proprietary or personal rights of others (including any copyright, trademark and privacy rights), is factually accurate, and contains nothing defamatory or otherwise unlawful. I have the full authority to enter into this agreement and have obtained all necessary permissions or licenses from any individuals or organizations whose material is included or used in my presentation.

 5. Code of Conduct & Rules

Read the SmartCatholics Code of Conduct.

By participating in any SmartCatholics event, I agree to abide by the Code of Conduct. Only at the end of my presentation(s), can I pitch, sell, or promote any product or service. But I am first committed to sharing real value and advice.

I authorize SmartCatholics to use my name, likeness, photograph, and details in connection with the use and promotion of the events I participate in.

I agree to notify SmartCatholics team immediately if an emergency prevents me from meeting my obligation as a session speaker.

I hereby indemnify and hold SmartCatholics harmless from and against any and all claims, expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees), arising directly out of

  • my negligent actions and/or
  • the breach of any of my covenants, obligations, representations or warranties set forth in this agreement.
