Pope Francis said the Holy Spirit is working through the women’s movement, but we need more adequate forms of feminism. While Catholics and secular feminists may seem worlds apart, they are still in the same universe. I will talk about speaking Christ through language, compassionate action, and the work of dialog.
Christine Falk Dalessio was a speaker at the “The Adventure of Sharing Christ” online women’s event, hosted by SmartCatholics & Susan Windley-Daoust.
Christine Falk Dalessio, Ph.D. holds a doctoral degree in Catholic theology from the University of Dayton, where she teaches theology to undergraduates. Prior to that, she was the director of youth and young adult ministry for eight years at a parish in central NJ. Her work focuses on questions of anthropology, personalist feminism, culture and communion, with a particular interest in women. A NJ native, she currently resides in Ohio with her husband Mike and cats Benny and Frankie, named for the popes.
